Sunshine Holdings celebrates future-focused employee excellence at SUN Awards 2026

SUN Awards 2026, the Groups flagship annual employee recognition programme, was held recently under the theme Reimagine the Future. The event recognised employees who played pivotal roles in driving business performance, collaboration, leadership, and organisational transformation across the Group during the financial year 2025/26. Bringing together employees from across the Groups key business sectors, healthcare, consumer goods and agribusiness, the event recognised individuals and teams that demonstrated strong performance, collaboration, agility and purpose during the financial year 2025/26 . The theme reflected Sunshines continued focus on building a future-ready organisation, embracing innovation, strengthening leadership capabilities, fostering agility and creating long-term value for customers, stakeholders and communities. ion. The ceremony was attended by Sunshine Holdings Group Chief Executive Officer Shyam Sathasivam, members of the Groups executive committee and senior leaders from across the organisation. A total of 169 awards were presented during the evening, including Merit Awards, Excellence Awards and Chairmans Awards, celebrating both individual contribution and team-led success. The awards recognised excellence across multiple disciplines, reflecting the diverse talent and capabilities that continue to drive Sunshines growth and success. The Group also recognised employees who have completed significant service milestones, presenting 119 long-service awards to team members who have contributed between 10 and 25 years to the organisation. These recognitions reflected Sunshines appreciation for the loyalty, consistency and institutional knowledge that continue to strengthen the Groups progress. Speaking at the event, Sunshine Holdings Group Chief Executive Officer Shyam Sathasivam said, The SUN Awards recognise more than achievement; they celebrate the mindset, resilience and commitment that drive Sunshine forward. The celebration extended beyond the main awards, with a special set of recognitions titled the Shine Awards presented to employees who contributed beyond organisational performance by helping make the workplace more positive, pleasant and supportive. The evening was further brought to life through vibrant singing, dancing and entertainment acts, creating an engaging atmosphere for employees to celebrate together and reflect the strong sense of unity within the Sunshine Group. During the last financial year, the Group recorded consolidated revenue of Rs. 65.9 billion for the year ended 31 March 2026 (FY26), reflecting an 11.2% year-on-year (YoY) increase. Growth was supported by continued expansion in Healthcare, improving momentum in Consumer, and a stronger contribution from Agribusiness. The SUN Awards 2025 was a celebration of people, purpose, and pride in performance, echoing Sunshine Holdings belief that its people are its greatest asset.
