The designers shared that Jennifer's gown featured two celebrated forms of Indian embroidery, reimagined for a classic bridal silhouette, For Jennifer's white wedding gown we used Lucknowi Chikankari & Kashmiri Tilla with the Karleo Signature Lace Technique over a classic fit & flare going into an A-line silhouette for her. The result was a timeless gown featuring a sweetheart corset bodice, delicate floral embroidery and a flowing silhouette that balanced sophistication with softness. To achieve this storybook aesthetic, the atelier also relied on premium Indian textiles. Discussing the choice of fabrics, the designers explained, For the fabrics we wanted to use the best of silks from India. When these Indian fabrics were used to create a classic Western Bridal Gown, the effect was even more unique & special. Since Jennifer's wedding took place in the United Kingdom while the couture piece was crafted in Mumbai, ensuring flawless execution required meticulous planning. Sara Arjun: I started acting almost as soon as I began speaking Sara recalled that acting became a part of her life before she was even old enough to fully understand it. While the makers have already confirmed that the project will unfold as a two-part cinematic saga, actor Ranbir Kapoor has now shared fresh insights into the ambitious production, revealing that a significant portion of the second instalment has already been filmed. In a recent interview with The Direct, Ranbir Kapoor spoke about the challenge of adapting one of India's most revered epics for the big screen. According to the actor, condensing the vast narrative of the Ramayana into two films was no easy task. To be honest, to tell Ramayana, you probably need a 10-part movie, but the kind of conciseness in two parts was very hard, he said. Ranbir also revealed that work on the sequel is already well underway, with the production progressing on both films simultaneously to maintain continuity in the storytelling. He went on to explain We are already 50% down shooting Part Two even before the first part is released, because it is a continuing story. I don't think a story like Ramayana needs that. I think the text has stayed over 4000 years. Lord Rama has been the conscious gatekeeper of millions of people around the world, and I think everything that it talks about courage, good over evil, rightfulness, forgiveness, compassion, ego. Last month, Bollywood Hungama reported that Batwara 1947 has been passed with an A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). At one point, it was believed that an adult rating restricts the business of a film. This notion has been put to rest after films like Kabir Singh (2019), Animal (2023), Dhurandhar (2025) and Dhurandhar The Revenge (2026) turned out to be blockbusters despite the adult certification. Yet, questions remained about why the makers of Batwara 1947 opted for an A certificate, especially since new ratings like U/A 16+ are in force. In a group interview, this writer asked director Rajkumar Santoshi about the rationale behind the decision. Rajkumar Santoshi said, We didnt have much choice. It was the CBFC that gave the film an A certificate. We requested them to pass it with a U/A certificate, but they told us that we would have to make certain cuts. With the A certificate, however, they did not cut a single frame or dialogue. We then discussed it among ourselves and realized that an A rating would not make much of a difference. The veteran filmmaker continued, The CBFC members loved the film so much. They said Hum touch nahin karna chahte film ko. If we had insisted on a U/A rating, it would have been a time-consuming process as there would have been one more screening. Also, they would have asked us to make cuts. We were not in favour of it. It is rare for a Sunny Deol film to receive an A rating. Though his films often feature action and violence, they are usually aimed at family audiences. Since 2000, only six of his films have been rated A Champion (2000), Farz (2001), Karz: The Burden Of Truth (2002), Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani (2002), Mohalla Assi (2018) and Chup (2022). Interestingly, there was a 16-year gap between 2002 and 2018 during which none of his films received an A certificate. Batwara 1947 releases in cinemas on August 14. Carnegie Hall has announced the artist line-up for the inaugural edition of Naad, a new annual festival of Indian music, set to debut from May 21 to 23, 2027, bringing together leading exponents of Indian classical and contemporary music traditions, according to a report by Telegraph. The three-day festival will open on May 21 with a performance at Zankel Hall by Grammy-winning bansuri maestro Rakesh Chaurasia, accompanied by tabla player Ishaan Ghosh, with Ritik Chaurasia also performing on bansuri. The festivals centre-piece on May 22 will feature composer, singer and music producer A. R. Rahman making his Carnegie Hall debut at Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage. Best known internationally for his Academy Award and Grammy-winning score for Slumdog Millionaire, Rahmans concert will include additional artists, who will be announced later. Naad 2027 will conclude on May 23 with SIFAR, a Hindustani classical music concert led by vocalist Kaushiki Chakraborty at Zankel Hall, featuring Anantha R. Krishnan on mridangam and konnakol, Ambi Subramaniam on violin, Ishaan Ghosh on tabla and percussion, and Soumik Datta on sarod. Single tickets for all Naad 2027 performances will go on sale to the general public on August 10. Sunny Deol first worked with Rajkumar Santoshi in Ghayal (1990), which turned out to be a blockbuster and one of the most loved films of all time. Three years later, they reunited for Damini (1993). It featured Sunny in a supporting role and yet, the actor stole the thunder from all the others with his performances and fiery dialogues. In the next film, Ghatak (1996), Sunny once again played the lead and like the previous two films, the action entertainer was also a smashing hit. After working in three films in 6 years, Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi never collaborated again until Batwara 1947. This partition saga releases nearly 30 years after Ghatak. At a group interview, Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi were asked about this and whether they tried making any film in the interim. We also wanted to make a film on Prithviraj Chauhan, but neither project materialized. The producers did not consider us saleable at the time, and hence, the films could not take off.
