DMK, allies walk out of TN Assembly over Parandur airport project scrapping

The Tamil Nadu government has decided to scrap the proposed Parandur greenfield airport project. Opposition parties staged a walkout in the assembly protesting this significant decision. Farmers had strongly opposed parting with their land for the airport development. Former chief minister MK Stalin stated this move sets back state growth.
