SBI Q1 profit beats estimates on strong loan growth, asset quality

SBI reported a 10% rise in Q1 net profit to Rs 21,121 crore, beating estimates on robust loan growth and higher net interest income. Improved asset quality, lower bad-loan provisions and strong credit demand offset weaker treasury income and slightly lower margins.
