As Gulf tensions reach Bab el-Mandeb, Indian Navy escorts cargo ships through troubled waters

Indian naval ships are escorting cargo vessels through the Bab El Mandeb strait. The INS Trishul and INS Aditya are currently providing this vital maritime security. These operations ensure the safe transit of energy cargo and protect national interests. The navy has maintained anti-piracy patrols in the Gulf of Aden since 2008. Operation Sankalp, launched in 2019, has become a cornerstone of India's maritime security.
