General Motors plans C$1.1 billion Canada auto investment amid US tariff pressure

General Motors will invest C$1.1 billion in Canada's auto sector after a tentative union deal. This investment includes adding a heavy-duty GMC Sierra truck to an Oshawa plant. The CAMI plant in Ingersoll will not be sold or closed while production is studied. New V8 engines and transmissions will also be produced in Ontario facilities.
