A good toner is as important as the cream you use for the skin. It treats open pores, fine lines and makes sure that the skin doesn’t lose out on the natural elasticity. But what if you make a natural toner at home and that too without chemicals, well its super easy to make one. Just collect fresh raw material and you are sorted. Remember that these toners don’t have a longer shelf life, so make them in small batches and finish off within 10-12 days.
Neem Leaf toner– Neem leaves benefit body, hair and skin like no other thing. It is a great toner for oily and acne prone skin and otherwise also its a great solution to all the skin problems. In a pan boil a glass of water and add crushed neem leaves to it. Boil for 5 minutes and let it sit for few hours. Once done strain and preserve it in a spray bottle. Store this mix in fridge and use whenever needed.
Green tea toner– Green tea is an excellent toner for the skin. Take a glass of boiling water and dip 2 green tea bags in it. Let it sit for few hours and store it in a bottle. Refrigerate and you can also use this toner to treat puffy and irritated eyes.
Chamomile tea toner– It is a great toner for dry skin. Repeat the above process with chamomile tea bags.
Mint leaf toner– Mint soothes the skin and also provides a cooling effect. It is a great remedy to treat sunburn, take few mint leaves and wash them thoroughly to get rid of the dust particles. In a vessel take crushed mint leaves and add a glass of boiling water to it. Cover and let it sit for few hours, once done strain and preserve it in a bottle. Store this mix in fridge and use whenever needed.
Tulsi or basil leaves toner– Repeat the above process with basil leaves. Basil has anti inflammatory properties and is an excellent toner for sensitive skin.
Rose Toner– Repeat the above process with fresh red roses. Once the mix is completely cool you can add a tsp of fresh aloe vera gel to this mix. This combination of rose water with a hint of aloe vera gel soothes the skin a big time.
Apple cider vinegar toner– Mix apple cider vinegar and distilled water in 1:2 ratio and store it in a bottle. Use as needed.
